I have the same problem, but I have found out that if you change the
filename to what you need i.e test.pdf or test.ps and not leave it as
.ps or .pdf the documents print OK.

Tried a new install of alpha 6, I have two hard drives and installed
Jaunty on main drive as other was my backup.
When I have restarted after install, 2nd Hard drive did not show and is
now shown as Unallocated with no files.

Update on my problem with Firewire Hard Drive.
I gparted the drive to Ext3 and changed the access from root to User and
so far I am hitting 20mb/s and at the moment no stops or access
problems. Fingers Crossed.
