Old kernel did not work (4.13 i believe)
Just installed 4.16 from the mainline builds (went with 4.16 and not
4.16.1-4.16.3
I have attached a new dmesg from the 4.16 kernel if it will help. At the
end it has me replugging the cable.

I can confirm that this happened to me, when I moved to the "Activities"
corner aswell. My bug report had a slightly different message, but was
marked duplicate of this one.
