stock 12.04 (just the release - no updates) Hap

This is an annoying issue for me on with precise (12.04)
I have several workspaces and dual-monitors. When there is one full-
screen application on any of the workspaces or monitors, I do not get
notify-osd notifications - this is a problem.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Trigger a notification and obs
Man this flickering is annoying. Looks like its fixed in Compiz 0.9.8
When will that be released? (12.04) Or when will the 0.9.7 fix be
released?
