I don't know if this is the same issue I had in Bug #69609 (was merged
into this bug). I'm attaching a small video of the issue in 8.10 and
will post the Xorg log when I boot to the live CD again.

I get the same thing with the Herd5 feisty live-cd. I'm running a Nvidia
G-Force FX Dual head card. The loading screen fails during boot and
after about 5 minutes of waiting X finally starts normal on one monitor
and nothing but flashing colors and lines on the other. Both monitors
are the same mo

gnome-app-install does not seem to have a --version option... but i
think the version number is 0.2.21. Does that sound right? I get that
number when simulating a remove of the package.

collection again. amarokcollectionscanner did NOT crash at all, but it
still took forever to get to 100% and it still never finished. I let it
