I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic and alsa-driver - 1.0.20+dfsg- 1ubuntu5, but the problem persists, I solved by installing the new version of ALSA (1.0.21). I also tried to reinstall the existing package (1.0.20) without result. -- Lenovo X61 - regular sound clicking with power_save_controller
