It is still an issue for 8.04, turns out to be a kernel issue - only way to
get it 'partially' solved is by building a custom kernel. Fact remains that
the chipset is unstable in the USB department. Switching to Karmic is not an
option as the support cycle is too short for any real application. It

To install / boot on any motherboard displaying these messages;
BIOS: legacy ide mode - not ahci
For EP45-DQ6 - turn off SATA/IDE option
Add 'all_generic_ide' to the kernel-line in Grub.
