Concerning the brightness keys, they do work in Grub, but in kde4 itself
they don't. Probably some keybinding stuff. I'm told they do work in
gnome.

Hey Alexander,
I enabled your ppa and upgraded. The "not connecting" problem still persists. I
can see the connection but it won't connect. When I start knetworkmanager from
the terminal and click on my wireless connection he just says "activate "
with a long path containing freedesktop.org
I agree with EagleScreen. Dragging icons from kickoff to the desktop or
folderview is currently broken. Manually creating launchers works.

Downlaoaded the kubuntu dailies from today and installed them. Wireless

Just installed a new copy of ubuntu hardy alpha 4 in a vmware at work.
Proxy settings have been defined in synaptic and firefox and they both
work. Update-amager still can NOT connect and aptitude or apt-get on the
server can NOT connect either.

Maybe the importance should be increased. This is a major bug for every
corporate user behind a firewall/proxy. I looks a tad unprofessional if a
status bar quickly rises to 82 % and then gets stuck for 10 minutes. I tried

floats around since ages.
Either a "skip step" button should be provided or the proxy should be easier
configurable during installation as suggested by StevenMcCoy.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me yesterday. I had 2 file browser
windows open to compile an mp3 cd. From one window I was quickly opening mp3
files to have a quick listen with totem movie player and if I liked the file, I
dragged it into another folder in the second browser. After 20 fi
I can confirm this on my kubuntu gutsy tribe 5 install. Changing
ownership of bookmarks.xml manualy solves the problem but only until you
open dolphin with kdesu again.
