[Bug 423252] Re: NSS using LDAP on Karmic breaks 'su' and 'sudo'

Nice that others can reproduce it too, but bad that no fix seems to be available. Lucid is coming up soon as LTS and will be completly unusable for any company using LDAP authentification.. -- NSS using LDAP on Karmic breaks 'su' and 'sudo' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423252 You received

We have the same problem at our company, since Karmic Ubuntu is quiet unusable for us :/ Would really appreciate a fix for Lucid or at least a better workaround then running nscd, which here doesn't help at all :( -- NSS using LDAP on Karmic breaks 'su' and 'sudo' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bug

[Bug 269954] Re: ssh -X breaks Xauthority on NFS mounted home dir

2008-12-16 Thread Christoph Cullmann
I can reproduce this behaviour too, therefor the hardy kernel is unusable for our company, as each normal editor does unlink & move on save, which leads to massive probs for example for an apache taking up this files from NFS, they break after nearly each edit for some minutes :( -- ssh -X breaks

We had the same problem, we solved it by disabling the networkmanager and either assigning static IPs or using the old approach of dhcp via interfaces not networkmanager... -- 8.04 & 8.10 nfs clients report "internal error" when attempting to mount NFS exports https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/213
