I have just upgraded to 4.8.0-27-generic via "apt upgrade" and the
system no longer freezes when I click the logout button. This is a good
sign. I will keep using it to see if there are any other freezes.

I have a Dell XPS 13 9343 running Ubuntu 15.10 with 4.2.0-16-generic .
Every few days my system freezes and I can move the mouse pointer but
can't click on anything. Pressing anything on the keyboard has no
effect.
I am using the laptop display + an external monitor Dell U2913WM
(2560x1080 @60Hz).
Please accept my apologies, re-tested and apparently it works well with
kernel 4.2.0-16-generic . Seems like the bug is fixed with 15.10 .

Cryptsetup Keyboard not working on Xubuntu 3.19.0
Any news about this at all, or any idea when the fix is going to be
pushed in the repository ? It's very frustrating that we can't input the
password on all our machines, or we have to use workarounds ..

Hello,
Ever since I upgraded to kernel 3.19.0-30 i can't input the disk
password at boot, in order to have the disk decrypted. The workaround it
to boot with kernel-3.19.0-28 which works. When booting with 3.19.0-30
whatever I type won't showup. CTRL+ALT+DEL would reboot the
