Hello, why was this bug reported to http://bugs.kde.org ? Neither KDE, nor KMix is not responsible for setting initial volume levels. This has to be done by the operating system: - Setting usable volume levels during soundcard setup. - Saving on shutdown and restoring on boot should also be done
