I am experiencing this same issue on Ubuntu 14.04 with xubuntu-desktop
installed.
To summarize:
* I set a new keybinding in Settings -> Window Manager. In my case it was
"Alt-F1" to switch to workspace 1.
* When I log out or reboot the key binding is lost and "Alt-F1" does nothing.
Settings -
** Also affects: xfce4-power-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** No longer affects: xfce4-power-manager (Ubuntu)

I tried to install proproiety drivers. It came back
SystemError:installArchives() failed. It has worked recently on this computer
last week and the drivers worked fine. Not sure what the problem is

Since two automatic updates ago (kernel 2.6.32-21-generic or
2.6.32-22-generic I think) the battery icon in the xfce4 panel no longer
shows the correct charge. It always shows 0% although the laptop lasts
for a long time when the power is unplugged.

vlc, but can't be converted to avi or mpg with ffmpeg or by uploading to

I have the same issue on a Dell Mini 12, Jaunty lpia architecture. The
native resolution is 1200x800 but it was defaulting to 1024x768 which
stretches and blurs the graphics horribly.
