I am experiencing this problem with 9.04. I noticed it while trying to
get PXE boot working.
In my case altering the line in inetd.conf doesn't solve the problem.
tftp dgram udp4 wait root /usr/sbin/in.tftpd /usr/sbin/in.tftpd -s
/var/lib/tftpboot
and tftpd never starts. I restart xinetd and get

Why is this marked as fixed. I don't understand. It is still broken. I
am running a fully up-to-date Jaunty 9.04 and it is still broken. What
am I missing?

I'm seeing this. I am 99.9% sure it is the Nvidia v 180 drivers.
I had a working system. It was current as of earlier today. It had the
RC of 9.04 and the Nvidia 180 drivers.
I wiped the drive and reinstalled the RC and all was fine. I update to
the nvidia v180 drivers and I get this problem. I h
I got this when I used the channel search to find a channel and then
used the context menu to add the channel as a favorite. This is
repeatable.
