I can confirm the observations made by Dawid Lorenz
I tried replicating the actions in the video he posted in his own bug
report, and found the results to be the same.
- Opening the image viewer made desktop switching noticably slower.

Having the same problem on Maverick 10.10, Lenovo X200, amd64.
No sound in gnome-sound-recorder, checked in alsamixer and microphone
volume is up.

I'm experiencing this same problem in 10.04 on my X200. Other thinkpad
buttons seem to be functioning as they should, but the keyboard light is
not. This is after upgrading to a fresh 10.04 installation, fully
upgraded now, as it worked well on my old 9.10.
