I need to have Ubuntu 22.04 so I am looking for solutions where I can
keep that OS version. I used the mainline gui to install an updated
kernel (6.10) and the trackpad and battery detection work now! My
speakers do not work though, and it looks like that is still a

Yes, I have executed this command.
Some other symptoms I have discovered are that (1) the built-in speakers
do not work and (2) the battery is not detected (no soc status on the
top right corner of the screen and no devices in the "Power Statistics"
app).

Thank you for the response! I realized I did not update the kernel type
correctly in the bug description. I have:
Ubuntu 6.8.0-40.40~22.04.3-generic 6.8.12
and not linux-signed-hwe-6.8. I ran the command and it returned only:
