I'm trying to install Ubuntu 13.10, asking it to reformat an existing
btrfs partition to use for installation.
The installer reports the following error:

plugin is used to place a window, it snaps back to the original

I use the attached xmodmap file to remap my Truly Ergonomic 209
keyboard. Everything compiz/unity keyboard shortcut I've tried so far
works fine with the remapped keys. However, alt-tab remains bound to
the old mapping rather than the new one.

I had to log out and log in again to be able to restart tomboy. (It
complained that it was already running, but ps didn't show a process).

OK, I think I got it working. If I boot with the workaround in bug
328892 and the workaround in bug 332270, I can boot a 2.6.28-8 kernel.
I have udev 138-2 installed, so I shouldn't have needed the second
workaround. Perhaps the install of udev 138-2 didn't patch my 2.6.28-8
kernel because that

I managed to boot with a 2.6.24 kernel -- both 2.6.27 and 2.6.28
exhibited the same problem. (Well, the 2.6.27 wasn't exactly the same).
However, in 2.6.24, my udevd eats up 80% of my CPU and makes my hard
disk churn!
Looking through my ps -ax, it may be the "/lib/udev/watershed sh -c
/sbin/lvm
The problem has just gotten severely worse. I did a apt-get dist-
upgrade today, and am no longer able to boot my machine.
At the (first) busybox prompt I type the above commands.
The computer then pauses for a few minutes and then returns with many

I've attached my lspci -vvnn and my Xorg.0.log. I have a KVM attached,
but the keyboard is not plugged into the KVM. I have no xev logs -- I
