I can confirm that this bug is still present on Ubuntu 13.04. Is there
any news on when this will be fixed? Right now it is causing enormous
problems for us, to the point that we may have to ditch Ubuntu
altogether if it is not fixed!

Public bug reported:
When connected to mobile broadband through NetworkManager I try to add
an adhoc wireless network. nm-applet then tries to set the wireless
network up, disconnects from both and then crashes with a segfault. This
implies two problems:

I also use mobile-broadband and am having exactly the same problem. Both
the system-monitor and the panel-applet show no network-activity, even
when I am downloading. This is actually a big problem for me because it
makes it harder to diagnose network-problems.

The bug occurs for me only rarely and it is impossible to predict when.
Therefore I cannot reproduce it reliably. However, I will report again
if it occurs for me under 8.10 or 9.04. Thank you.

I did run into something like this recently. I tried to take a

Sorry, I got my versions mixed up. It's Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron.
I'll copy and attach my .xsession-errors file the next time the bug

Oops, never mind. It turns out that the above-described behaviour is how
Firefox interprets the horizontal scrolling action on my touchpad, not
