whas one. This and other information about the future of Ubuntu made me to
leave Ubuntu for my work, after 10 years, in favor of Debian.

Same problem in a clean install of Ubuntu/kubuntu 9.04 on an Asus P5KPL-AM mobo.
"unable to iterate IDE devices No such file or directory" message when
shutdown, otherwise the shutdown procces seems OK, but a closer look shows that
all connected peripherals - keyboard, mouse, KVM-switch, USB-scan
This is not related to the kvm switch, so i withdraw this bugreport.

Same problem in Kubuntu 9.04. Same message show up before shutdown. Same
problem in Ubuntu 9.04 but there is now message.
In both cases everything seems to shut down ok. except the mouse and KVM
switch.
So with the computer turned off the mouse and KVM switch is still active. The
only way aroun

with my KVM switch (D-link DKVM-2K).
The install program can't find the monitor and fall back on a default mode
