Proposed fix also worked for me. But look & feel of app is quite ugly.
Are there maybe different skins/themes? I.e. a GTK3 CSS.

I just tried to install grisbi and I am experiencing the same problem.
It confuses me that this Bug is marked as fixed 0o
I'm using Jaunty 9.04 and I did an 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get dist-
upgrade', so everything is up to date [as of 8th August].
When I want to install grisbi I get:

I also have a HP 5440 Printer, Laptop is an Asus Z9200va (A6va).
Same Problem here. No Problem with Ubuntu 8.04 or 7.*, but in 8.10, only pages
with random characters are printed.
Printer is attached via USB and is recognised correctly.

I have the same problem with this Asus M2400N, Pentium M 1,3 GHz.
Ubuntu Version is latest Gutsy Gibbon and I can only boot with "nolapic" option
(or acpi=off).
Direct rendering works, sound seems to work too... Havent tested it very
intense yet.
I'll also append my sudo dmidecode output.
