this laptop (ThinkPad T50) has a dedicated Nvidia VGA, and in BIOS setup you
can choose to use
1. Integrated VGA
2. Dedicated VGA
3. Nvidia Optimus
If I choose 2. it will use the nouvoue (instead if Intel) it works OK with
6.8.0-44-generic.
Seems the root of the problem is the b
On up to date Xubuntu 24.04.1 the system freezes after some minimal activity
with 6.8.0-44-generic
