I was having random and frequent freezes/crashes with 2.6.32-22-generic lucid
and network manager on my t41p with ar5212 chipset.
I removed network manager and installed wicd. That seems to have got rid of
freezes crashes. But then it would connect fine at home with a wap2 ap but not
at a friend

Happens on lucid with ath5k. Random hangs saw upto 5 hangs today.
Changed to using wicd which I think fixes it.

I also see empath stuck on Connecting. Call never connects. I am connecting to
a standard asterisk server. telepathy-sofiasip 0.6.2-1
