While using my machine, characters suddenly disappear. No character in
particular, not in any single application in particular, and copying and
pasting the text preserves the characters.
Scrolling the text out of view and back into view doesn't affect the
missing characters.

ubuntu 13.10 without a CD.. I downloaded the 13.10 version and ran it

I got it to work on thinkpad T420 by using
sudo xinput set-int-prop 11 "Synaptics Off" 8 0
the bug happens because there are two properties governing the touchpad "on"
status "device Enabled" and "Synaptics Off" and they must be set to 1 and 0
respectively if the touchpad is to work the problem
please help me sinze i upgrade my ubuntu from 10.10 to 11.4 h have
problems first with nvidia now i can't update from manager all until now

I installed clearlooks engine. One thing, however, is really odd. I
started firefox and surely enough, clearlooks was working. After some

seemed to just freeze while it worked on wvdial. I've seen a bug similar
