There are several wlan "killswitch" problems reported as a bugs.
I think that might be your problem.

I upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic yesterday. Same problem here. (64bit)
Same problem on a LiveCD (
Installing a Jaunty 64bit from scratch , installing flashplugin-installer.
Then upgrading to Karmic also seams to solve this problem for me.

For some reason , some flash sites dont work at all for me meanwhile some run
just fine.
This is how I fixed it. (Tried from a fresh Jaunty 64bit install)
apt-get install flashplugin-installer
apt-get remove flashplugin-installer
(Do not run apt-get autoremove after that)
