Title:

Was the result of an upgrade from 13.04. Everything went ok and after
the reboot when I tried to install some extra packages with synaptic,
the dependency problems appeared. Had to manually purge the older
libboost packages before I was able to install the 53 version. After
this everything looks ok
Public bug reported:
Was generated at the end of an upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10. Had to
manually fix issues after upgrade.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10
Package: libboost1.53-tools-dev 1.53.0-6+exp3ubuntu8
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-13.20-generic 3.11.6
Uname: Linux 3.
I am also affected by this as it hangs while consuming one of the cpu
cores but never displays anything.

I have the same problem with 12.04 LTS. The issue seems to be that the
dhcpd daemon is pointing to the wrong default. I was able to get it
working by adding the following to the /etc/init/isc-dhcp-server.conf
for the exec line at the bottom. Changing it to:
exec /usr/sbin/dhcpd -f -q -4 -pf /var/r
This has started to affect me this morning after applying latest
updates.

Seem likely to be similar/same issue here, only I'm only using the

As I was initiating irc broadcast account - popup causing crash seem
likely.

Editing url to chrome:bugreport (curiosity :P) then causes issues:-
attempt to close tab crashes browser with segfault.
This probably shouldn't happen!

Will leave the packaging of a newer hplip to the experts!
