/usr/share/doc/timewarrior/ext/on-modify.timewarrior
has #!/usr/bin/env python. That is python 3.5.2 installed via Anaconda on my
system.
As a result running task start with this hook installed at ~/.task/hooks

Applications stop receiving mouse button clicks but the keyboard still
works and I can still move the mouse. Sometimes the Unity menus still
receive clicks and somtimes not. Running `sudo service x11-common
restart` fixes the problem.

What I expected:
That gnome-contacts would open and allow me to edit my contacts.
What actually happened:
The WM window decoration appeared but no application was drawn inside the
window. The gnome-contacts process run with 100% cpu usage and continuously
growing memory us
I made sure that I was up to date and then rebooted, still seeing the
same behavior. I installed the debug symbols of the relevant libraries
and then attached to the empathy process with gdb. I let it run for a
bit then stopped it and did `thread apply all bt` three times in the
same process. I

digging.
