a space in the file system after / trusty..security which would point to
a possible problem updating security files. The software pkgs are
otherwise up to date. This is a recurring issue. The browser is
obviously where the Trojans enter. I would think.

Ok, I know this has been marked as "invalid" (and to tell you the truth,
I was a little mad that it was) but I think I figured it out.
I installed the nouveau drivers, disabled the proprietary ones, and
enabled the nouveau drivers with "experimental 3D support".

I have this, except with Friendfeed. My Friendfeed account is showing up
in my sidebar (where all the account icons are) and not showing in my
"broadcast accounts" window.

Do you happen to have the "watch folder" enabled?
I was having a major processor spike with loads going up to 10+. I
disabled that, restarted the app, and I've since had no issues with it.
Is there a memory leak with setting a watch folder? This just started
