I got this problem in 12.04(64bit). Gnome shell installed from repo's. Have
reported it via 'press button to report' but would love to know if anyone has
any ideas as to what is is or how to patch it.

2 things regarding this... Now that I've had a user with encrypted home,
he's been removed, and then re-added. using:
$ userdel uname
and
$ adduser --encrypt-home uname
I now get (what is to me) an irremovable error:
ERROR: wrapped-passphrase file already exists, use --force to overwrite.

I dont think mine is a duplicate either as I dont thimk firefox is running
every time.
I went through a stage of thinking it was processor heat/overheating
graphics or similar, but it happened a couple of times quite quickly after
initital startup.

Think I have the same bug. Difference is I'm running Kubuntu.
clean install.
this is the tail end of Xorg.0.log after i've been logged out (xorg crashed)
After that I get a text prompt until i restart the machine.
startx will try to start but flashes a few times and fails with the "Error
setting C

edgy with gutenprint driver but will not respond at all in feisty.
