Aisleriot and Freecell do not use the global menubar in Unity, but the
display a menubar in their own window. This does not happen in Sudoku,
Mines or Mahjongg. I also have Gnome Shell 3.4 installed.

I have exactly the same issue. I installed using the alternate cd image.
During the setup I only configured the ssid and password of my network
and it seemed it was working. In the network indicator the status
appears to be 'device not managed'. I see that ath_pci is blacklisted,

I agree with you that this behavior is annoying. The Ubuntu One bar
should not show up in any folder on nautilus and the option of keeping
folders in sync should be rather available in the File menu.
