Since the last generic kernel in Karmic-Updates (2.6.31-20-57)

is the answer.
Debian-testing, kernel 2.6.32, has the same problem.

Definetly, the Toby Dickerson's suggest works on NFORCE2 chipsets
(tested on 5 different mobo/distro, kernels 2.6.22, 2.6.25 and 2.6.27)
3 steps:
1.- Find all devices created yet with autosuspend
# find /sys/ -name "autosuspend"
/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:02.0/usb1/power/autosuspend
/sys/d
I think the problem is the suspend-mode implementation. Once your USB2.0
"thing" enters on suspend mode it can't wake up.
This state (suspend) is only especificated for 2.0 (ehci) nor 1.0/1.1
Disabling the autosuspend function, things work well, or disabling ehci
function works well too. Someti
Same problem in 2.6.27-rc3 kernel image on MB with nforce2 chipset.
downloaded from here: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/pub/next/2.6.27-rc3/
USB 2.0 works until "autosuspend" or "write in"...
I'll try Toby Dickerson method and will post the results (disabling
autosuspend function).
Thanks!
