I confirm that it works on Ubuntu 14.10 (I tried on a Virtual machine).
Now the question is, will it be updated also on 14.04?

Ok, good to know, which version of Ubuntu did you use?14.10?
I did this test on a 14.04 with ca-certificates from 14.10 from here :
http://packages.ubuntu.com/utopic/ca-certificates
and it didn't work(git clone). I will ask to my colleagues to test it next week
(I will be on vacations)

Thanks for your answer, I tried this packet (which seems to be available
only on Utopic), the weird thing is that git is sill complaining about
the certificate, do you have any idea?
