Update:
This broke the system a little further than expected - nautilius
missing, icons not showing up, etc..
Fix:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop && sudo
reboot now

Installing fuse on Ubuntu 24.04 removes `ubuntu-session`, leading to a
broken GDM on reboot
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install fuse on a fresh Ubuntu 24.04 system:
sudo apt install fuse
2. Reboot the system.
Expected behavior:
GDM should start normally without issues aft
