I'm beginning to suspect that this is related to my wireless card or
wireless card settings. Occasionally, suspend and resume will work under
battery power by closing the lid. When the computer resumes, however, my
wifi has been disconnected. This does not happen when I suspend/resume

"sudo s2ram --force" works reliably with and without the AC cord
attached, but I still can't get suspend/resume to work from the menu,
power button, Fn + Esc or by closing the laptop screen. Any suggestions

I've found that setting lock_suspend in gconf-editor>apps>gnome-power-
manager to "off" allows the computer to return to my "pre-suspend"
screen after I resume. However, this screen is frozen and does not
recognize input from the keyboard or mouse. This is better than

I've tried all combinations of commenting out pm-powersave and using

anything else to try from here? Do I need to provide more background

Sorry to be such a bother about this, but I'm still having trouble. I've
read through that guide, but couldn't find anything related to nohdparm.
I found a bunch of files on my computer which included the text

OK, thanks for your help, Steve. I've commented it out, rebooted, and am
still experiencing the same problems.
Could you describe how to "boot without nohdparm" and how to disable
