timbo or Stefanauss can follow these steps and resubmit the bug.

Public bug reported:
When formulas are used in a LibreOffice Writer document, a crash happens
within seconds. This is fully reproducible on my system. Writer does not
crash if formulas are not present, and the dedicated formula editor
LibreOffice Math is not affected.

This fix was released with kernel 3.2.0-27. If your system is updated you are
running 3.2.0-29, which of course also includes it. If you are still
experiencing freezing it is caused by something else, likely #1034358.

This affects all for-sale items in the catalogue, on two different

For anyone having problems with Update Manager throwing errors because
of this, you can fix it by going into Settings > Other Software tab and
unchecking the problematic PPA. Doing so won't fix the underlying
problem obviously, but at least Update Manager will work.

I am also affected by this bug. In my case, the affected application is

lines from /etc/apt/auth.conf and attempting to redownload from Software
Center did not resolve the issue.
The related support ticket is #16918.
