I have to disappoint all who complained here. Looks like it's not a bug,
but a feature. My disk was dying for a long time, and new kernel just
made it clear to me. After replacement, I have no problems with kernel
2.6.32-32-generic. Probably new drivers allow for less rereads and have
stricter DMA
Looks like this problem exists with 2.6.32-31-generic kernel as well,
just doesn't happen that often. It happens under heavy disk usage only.

I had a similar problem after upgrade to 2.6.32-32-generic. Boot time
became huge, after boot system behaved more or less OK. But after first
suspend/resume root filesystem was remounted ro. Review of the log shows
the following errors during boot:

update, hwclock is not working anymore. Symptoms are quite similar to

OK, I think I now what problem is. If you open Preferences, it's
possible to change directory for snapshots. By default, it's
~/Webcam_Pictures. If you change it to any directory with full path,
like /home/user/Webcam_Pictures, camorama works perfectly. If you try to
use any relative path, starting
This is very annoying bug. I used to adjust brightness for videos (up)
and for text (down). Now, several minutes after any adjustment, display
just returns to power setting. Something is seriously broken in gnome
brightness applet.
