I found a workaround for this bug:
Installed the package 2d-desktop-settings, then in System Settings > 2D-Dekstop
Settings I marked the Auto Hide option. The bug disappeared (so far, I
installed this package on 2011-07-23, so I think it really fixed this bug but I
have no proof).
I'll upda
As Jon described it sticks on the desktop, really can't do anything with
it, only to use applications in windowed mode.
