It also stops on the 6.8 kernel series.
On the 6.5 and 6.8 kernel series it stops within 5 minutes. On the 6.2 and 5
kernel series it continues to work for over a week.
I think there was a change in the mutual exclusion mechanism when it went from
6.2 to 6.5.

We have confirmed that image communication continues for more than two days in
kernel 5 and kernel 6.2.
