generated in /var/spool/cups/tmp (and then printed with the errors) seem
to be correct (evince can read, display and print them correctly).

confirmed identical behaviour with brasero.
with the brasero run, I generated monitor output (attached).
discovered from monitor log that kernel is generating lots of events as soon as

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 x86_64 on a HP Compaq nc6320. Since last weeks update
(including proposed and backports) I got the aforementioned openoffice bug. I
also used a new user as a workaround. Today I completely removed the two
