Sorry Martin, I've upgraded since then and am unable to reproduce at
all.
I get this output from ls -ld /var/crash
/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -ld /var/crash
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 4096 2008-02-04 05:46 /var/crash
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /
