the client a direct route to the internet while the tunnel is active is
a Bad Thing, that is ultimately the decision of the network architect,
not the client. I believe that the client should route whatever networks

I'm having the same issue, but with opposite effect. I want to allow
only certain networks to use the tunnel, but I still want NM to update
my resolv.conf. Right now, if I check the "only use vpn for these
addresses" option, NM will not update my DNS.
