I was able to build updated deb packages of libssh 0.6.5 but the problem
still persists for me. I thought it would have fixed the issue as
0.6.4's changelog mentions a few ECDSA changes. Just to make sure I
"ssh-keygen -R HOST_WITH_ECDSA", accessed the host via SFTP in Dolphin
which worked, "ssh-ke
Just found this upstream bug report:
https://red.libssh.org/issues/171
Seems it may be resolved in libssh 0.6.5 according to that report. Is there any
chance we could get an updated version to test?

I agree with Alvin. That old KDE bug (ECDSA and libssh) affected me for
a long time but as soon as Kubuntu got libssh 0.6 (Saucy I think?) it
was resolved. I'm running the same system that has simply been upgraded
(not reset) and this behaviour has recently come back. I'm not sure if
it was there
Fixed here as well with the latest updates.

@ockels (ockels): Ubuntu's latest updates have switched the init system
from Upstart to Systemd but it does not seem to enable the sddm service
on start. The solution is to enter the following command:
sudo systemctl enable sddm.service -f
sudo reboot
Thanks for the solution go to Ricard (jeanmi-

With the latest updates I no longer get a message that kdeinit5 has
crashed on logout. I'm still left with a cursor and blank screen though.
It never loads the log in screen.

Finally been able to test Linux 3.5.7 from the kernel ppa () and the
same issue was there. I didn't realise there was a new bios out so I'll
test that soon and I'll test Linux 3.19.

I don't think that is going to be practical. If I get some spare time I
will try a live 12.04 environment but this bug normally takes days to
occur and I will just not be able to run the live environment for that

Yes it is present in Ubuntu 14.04. If you see bug #1116525 then it seems
this issue was present and affecting other users from at least Ubuntu
12.10.

I've been running Linux kernel 3.18-rc3 for 6 days and just run into the issue.
I think now that the length of time a system has been running without a reboot
can cause the issue as I only suspended for an hour and upon resume the usb
devices on the dock were no longer working until I un-docked
OK so things seems worse on 3.17.1. After resuming my laptop from about
10-11 hours sleep, not only were the inputs connected to the USB docks
not working, but after initial display my screen did not seem to be
updating (no flashing cursor on log in screen), and the keys and
trackpad on the laptop

Just to be clear. I was talking about the non-gles version of Kwin when

as slowdown in kwin standard OpenGL.

GMA 950, x3100, and a GMA 4500M. I also have a system with a ATI R300 running
