Battery monitor

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
On a ThinkPad X220, the battery monitor usually fails to report the battery
level after unplugging. Though the time remaining is reported, the meter shows
with a red outline, as if it's completely out of power.

I'm surprised I'm not seeing any activity on this one.
The impact is pretty minimal in the grand scheme of things, but it's a
blatant UI bug that would never get into a Windows or Mac OS X release.

In Ubuntu Classic on Natty Narwhal (Ubuntu 11.04), when an Ambiance or
Radiance window is close to the top Gnome Panel, the corner transparency
does not blend with the shadow properly. The visual bug fades away when
the window is moved down.

This is causing a SecurityMetrics scan failure for me.

I tried printing a PDF in Evince, and there's something seriously wrong
with the letter spacing on the printout -- in some of the text on the
page, it inserted a lot of space between every letter, to the point that
half the text runs off the page.
Agreed, it has driven me to use Chromium as my primary browser.

You think the history drop-down breaking is due to the video driver?? Or
just the slow typing?
I don't think I've seen the slow typing on this machine anywhere but the
Firefox location bar.
