It looks like Debian fixed this with their package for Zoneminder
1.24.4.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: zoneminder
Based on my experience, and looking over the zoneminder forums, the vast
majority of crashes experienced have to do with inadequate sysctl values
for shmall and shmax. This can be avoided by using mapped memory.
** Affects: zoneminder (Ubuntu)
How about backporting the bug fixes then?

The version of ubuntu you're using normally comes with a newer kernel
than that and you're probably doing something unsupported. You might bug
your host and ask them to update to a modern version of the kernel.

Yep, works perfect here in edgy. However there has been some sort of
regression with HAL or something. Nothing notices when I pop a CD in,
and nothing shows up in hal-device-manager. This is odd because in
Dapper with new kernels it worked fine.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: libnss-mdns
If you try to do a ssh foo.local or target your browser at
http://foo.local you will be greeted with a long delay before it finally
"goes". This is due to Ubuntu using the the module with both ipv6 and
ipv4. This is frowned upon by upstream:
Ooops, there was clearly a typo in my faux diff. It should have read:
-hosts: files dns mdns
+hosts: files dns mdns4

It's blazing fast from the cli.
Here's the backtrace:

I should add that this happened in Dapper and peresists in Edgy.

Browsing an sftp "share" in nautilus is rediculously slow. I am
confident the issue is in nautilus and not with gnome-vfs, it's
lightening fast in filechoosrs and similar.
