It's usuall the other way around. Debian spliting packages in many, and
Ubuntu want one large, like for wine.
So, an open discussion, where thechnical merits is most important and
good patches to Debians package prob. will make Debian and Ubuntu
packages look mostly the same.

There shouldn't be any problems if we know that.
It might be that ufw filters multicasts, which is shouldn't.
Try in one terminal window to run this "sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog'
and then start hp-probe to discover your printer. That would to start
some err
Are you running ufw or some other FW on your machines?
Then have a look what is shows in the logs. Try 'tail -f
/var/log/syslog' in a terminal window. Look at it for a while so you
see what is normal. Then start your programs that doesn't work.

It happend when my computer that had a wireless LAN, got connected to wired LAN
and the wireless LAN was dissconnected. I did a dissconnect and then a connect
to the "cloud" icon, and then it wont start, just want me to report this bug.

I have problem with empathy doesn't uses SRV DNS record from the jabber

I wrote that the SOFTWARE TomBoy falsly announce a feature that doesn't
work any longer becouse of a bug in the Ubuntu package (but it has
worked previously in 8.10). With the Ubuntu package of TomBoy, there
