Just did a fresh install of 20.04.3 LTS, updated & installed linux-
generic-hwe-20.04 and it booted up just fine. Only difference is
/etc/default/grub on a client's appliance, this is the default/grub on
the machine that freezes:

Please stop promoting snap. I and a lot of people are not going to use
it. Snap is not unix-wayish, it is Windows-bloated-wayish. A big step
back and complete garbage. The same way flatpak and appimage and docker-
container-as-a-unit-of-software are.
I have almost created a script that patches the
Jialin. Do you have packages installed from the UbuntuGIS repository? I
belive some libraries will conflict

i also can confirm that 5.4.0-99.112 fixes the bug. Testscript runs for
more than a hour with this kernel without freezing the machine.

Forgot to add: I am running dual boot with Windows. Windows does not
have any problem detecting the headset.

Xwayland crashed with SIGABRT in OsAbort() from AbortServe
Not sure if it's the same issue, but a fresh load of the preinstalled
Jammy image on Raspberry Pi 4 goes through most of initial setup, but
then goes to a blank screen. Subsequent reboots and restarts of gdm3
lead to a console screen with a blinking cursor instead of the login
