Note that exim_tidydb needs run like this:
$ /usr/sbin/exim_tidydb /tmp misc
Tidying Exim hints database /tmp/db/misc
The exim4-base script itself has changed over the years, and I suspect
it's fixed whatever the original problem
I was on 16.04 back in 2017 when I wrote this. I don't see this on my

Hello, I have Ubuntu 18.04 installed on my HP touchsmart 600.
Audio still doesn't work either the internal speakers, or if I connect outside
speakers through 3.5mm audio jack.
A USB headset works though and I can listen to YouTube using it.

I have been able to eliminate the focal 5.4.0-26-generic kernel packages
as the origin of this bug. Manually installing those onto an
installation of Ubuntu 19.10, produced a fully functional boot. More
importantly the recovery mode boot from grub worked fine. So the problem
under 20.04 would appea
