Hey Paolo - I don't think that the force_sig() change is correct since
it will kill the current process instead of the rxk_ListenerTask.
While looking at the code, I noticed that upstream has a more complete
fix for both build failures:

Bisected the problem starts with 14.2.2-0ubuntu1, might be the next one.

The ceph patch on eoan distributed 8/29 crashes all bluestore OSD's and
is unusable at least on some systems. Failed on an old dual Xeon E5345
box.
Easy test. Run:
/usr/bin/ceph-bluestore-tool
On working systems it reports a help message. On the latest eoan release

I see two errors, both of which are unrelated to this update:
1) A call to "snap prepare-image" fails because download of a model assertion
fails.
2) A FileNotFoundError in test_does_not_fit
None of these involve a snap-tool invocation.

I ran into this issue today as well. Performing the following can
recreate the issue on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS:
$ sudo apt remove maas
$ sudo apt remove autoremove
$ sudo apt install maas
This was fixed by the previous suggestion:
$ sudo apt autoremove --purge maas
$ sudo apt install maas

When running 'apport-cli --hanging $(pidof gnome-shell)' in a ssh shell,
it wants to spawn a browser to login to launchpad.net; since it did not,
I saved the apport and linked it here. After I ran the killall command
and ran the ubuntu-bug command it did not show an ID to link here.
