I can confirm this bug is an upstream bug.
I moved from Ubuntu to Fedora for this reason but it's still present even on

Ah! I followed the same guide, as I also wanted manual disk encryption
so I could dual boot and ran into the same issue.
The fix above works for me too, after specifying `UUID=xxx` you only
need `none luks` and nothing in any of the other 2 files mentioned.

difference that I know of between the two is that Mint Mate has the
