I don't see how removing shift-enter and ctrl-shift-enter is even remotely
related to the original request of making ctrl-enter open URLs in a new tab.
In addition, it breaks a preexisting functionality of having shift-enter
automatically add www. .net and ctrl-shift-enter add www. .org.

My Apple laptop has a Ctrl key on the left side only, which means this
functionality is no longer a one-handed operation. For me this is a
frustrating downgrade, but for others I expect it's an accessibility
issue. No? I'd also like an option to restore the longstanding behavior.

The point of the bug as filed was to make link opening modifiers work
the same between the url bar and

benefit to the early truncation, and it actively breaks lots of existing
software (which is why Debian and Ubuntu have had this fix for 10 years
now).
What is the _benefit_ of early truncation that justifies breaking so

decades. There's no _reason_ to break it for _FORTIFY_SOURCE. Pre-
truncating just silently breaks programs and does weird stuff. If you

Conclusion thus far: What I am seeing might be a new breakage of
yubikey-luks in U18.10/Cosmic.
I dug up an older Ubuntu system (U16.04.3 LTS) that is known-working
with Yubikey LUKS + Plymouth, and `/conf/conf.d/cryptroot` is present in
initramfs. Contents is one line, a target specification for

krb5, in particular from prior to the 1.12 era to the current packaging.
As part of adding support for systemd units, I decided to drop support for the
run_kadmind variable, and bungled the upgrade path.
