We already have the MSIServer service already implemented—it just
doesn't do anything yet. I think the best way to fix this is to register

Have we identified any reliable and easy workarounds to get the USB live
image booting? I was looking forward to completing my dual boot install

About the pmatop segfault in 3.12.2
I just have tested 4.0.0 on Bionic and pmatop no longer segfault.

Trying to figure out how Ubuntu's kernel numbering matches regular Linux kernel
numbering it would appears (from the README[2]) that Ubuntu 4.13.0.17

thanks for the bug report. I just pushed a fix to debian VCS, so it will
be part of the next upload to Debian and then get synced to the next

installed, this is what saved me:

Ubuntu already has packages for other projects made by hashicorp, like Nomad,
Consul and Serf. The idea herer is create a package with the Systemd service to
make easier to use
@dnord: This has nothing to do with xscreensaver, so not sure in how far
that comment is helpful.
Regarding the actual bugreport: the screensaver-timeout setting only takes
effect when the greeter is used as a lockscreen. So at login the setting is not
honoured at all, instead the system default
The problem also affects Lenovo G40-30. I have just installed Ubuntu
17.10 in legacy mode (dual boot with Windows 10) and the boot from USB
option is gone. Very serious issue, as there is no way to format our
hard drives and reinstall an OS. There was no reference in the
