I consider comments #5 to #7 being a confirmation that this is not a bug
in the package, but caused by the local administrators having added

Resuming from suspend results in bluetooth icon in title bar grayed out,
bluetooth switch is OFF, and bt mouse non-functional.

I have found something else that is interesting is that a script was
opening to setup kimchi was never finishing because of a typo missing
two dashes. /var/lib/dpkg/info/postinst on if installing you need to
have dpkg --configure instead of dpkg configure. Seems like a minor typo

in Xenial, but again reviewing the upstream git src code is still a good
approach before submitting a fix upstream.

Did some more digging.
- Kernel 4.10-rc1 - the same
- /dev/input/eventX - does not even fire multitouch events, so no luck here
- Tried sniffing bluetooth data with hcidump - and, oddly, this does not fire
multitouch events also!
So probably, the driver has to request multitouch support from the
Mysql from ubuntu repository. I tried reinstall mysql but it does not
helps.

I suffer from this problem too. It is very annoying. I always have to
hurry typing or NM drops the connection attempt and the window which
asks for the password becomes orphaned.

I tried some other kernel parameters:
scsi_scan=sync -> didn't help
pci=nomsi,nommconf -> didn't help
For now I'm just booting the 3.13.0 kernel since I need the server up
and don't have good physical access to it.

Hi, I believe this is fixed. I had similar issues and needed to use
i8042.dumbkbd before.
Now, I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04. I forgot to enter
i8042.dumbkbd in my grub entry but the keyboard works fine.
