I find the lack of actual security support for the majority of packages
in Ubuntu rather disturbing - I don't run Ubuntu myself currently so
providing a tested debdiff isn't easy, but I did provide lin
taglib 1.11.1 has just be released, and fixes an ABI breakage, cf.

I plan on uploading it in sid this week, and I would recommend that you wait
for this version to sync in Ubuntu.
(And indeed, qmmp 1.1 should not have been packaged without taglib >=

It seems that this package can be cleanly synced from Debian.
I checked out the Ubuntu delta, and it seems it's just a patch that has
been applied upstream and is no longer needed when 0.11 is applied. Same
with the other patch that is in there.
So someone just has to sync from Debian manually.

I don't now why this isn't working automatically. As an interim
workaround, you could try using the xrandr --newmode command followed by
the xrandr --addmode command. See xrandr --help for the parameters for
those commands.

I updated kernel to upstream 4.8.1-040801-generic and seems more
stable now. As I don't have windows any more, updating the bios will
be painful.
I have been running this kernel for a week now a no more hangs such
the ones I reported.
